A Rose for Grandma: A Journey Through Alzheimer’s

Join in Annie’s journey of discovering that one of her favourite people – her loving grandmother – has Alzheimer’s disease. As she learns what this means, Annie finds her own way of adapting and helping her grandma.

Accompanied by vibrant illustrations, this touching story gently explores a child’s understanding and acceptance of the changes caused by Alzheimer’s disease, while showing how families can support their loved ones living with dementia.

A Rose for Grandma: A Journey Through Alzheimer’s was written by Christiana Egi, a seasoned health professional and owner/operator of the Alexis Lodge retirement home, a Toronto care home dedicated to people living with dementia. Through her work, Egi aims to help erase the stigma around dementia and mental illness while encouraging warm and respectful person-centred care.
